The Kingpin’s son, Richard Fisk, is generally a non-combatant crime boss with no powers, which is likely why it’s taken so long to get him in 6” figure form. We are in fact getting a whole wave comprised of a half-dozen new Retro Spider-Man Marvel Legends figures, including a couple things Hasbro has never officially done before! Let’s have a look… I’m again very disappointed to see no unmasked head (no one in this wave gets one, sadly), but at least the pair of said that are the most important accessories for Elektra/Daredevil are included. This is a great-looking figure regardless.

Reilly possesses superhuman strength (lifting up to 10 tons); he heals much faster than an ordinary human, and his bodily tissues and skeleton are more durable and resistant to trauma. Ben’s tendons and connective tissue are twice as elastic as the average person, making him extremely limber. He also has superhuman reflexes, improving his reaction time by a factor of 15. Next up on the villains front is a character who has never had an official figure released by any company (unless I am somehow forgetting something): Marvel Legends Hammerhead! I’d love to see a Madelyne Pryor Goblin Queen released to pair with Chasm, failed Ghost Rider Haslab or no. Maddie is too important for Hasbro to pass on forever. Originally distrustful of each other, the two Spiders developed an uneasy alliance that slowly grew into a strong friendship. When Detective Jacob Raven investigated new leads into his former partner Louise Kennedy’s death, his search led him to Peter Parker, whose fingerprints were also identical to Kaine’s. Ben switched places with Peter in prison so he could search for the truth behind the killings, leading Kaine to ultimately confess to his crimes. The second figure Hasbro revealed for the Retro Wave 2 Lineup was one that’s divided fans a little bit, even though it’s a character a lot of collectors were ardently asking for: Marvel Legends Retro Hobgoblin! A second iteration of Ben Reilly is also featured in this set, although it is a wholly different one: Marvel Legends Chasm, the villainous transformed Ben from the end of Spider-Man Beyond. This character was central to the “Dark Web” crossover last fall, so he’s quite marketable at this time despite being “new”. Whilst we will do everything we can to meet the delivery times above, there may be factors outside of our control and we cannot guarantee delivery within this time frame.

This Ben Reilly action figure is inspired by the character’s appearance in Amazing Spider-Man comics and makes a great addition to any collection of Marvel Legends action figures We’re getting a non-Peter Parker Spidey in this wave as well, as a Retro Ben Reilly Spider-Man Legends figure is swinging in! This was near the top of my list of Spidey costumes I wanted to see updated to the new body mold (right next to the white Future Foundation Spider-Man costume), so seeing this put me on cloud nine.

Ben Reilly is always my favorite Spidey, so I’m delighted to get this figure of him from arguably his biggest story since the 90s Clone Saga. Ben gets modern super-super-articulation here, which even includes coveted toe articulation.

I have bad memories of the Toybiz 5” release of this armored figure gathering dust en masse on store shelves in the 90s as one of the biggest peg warmers of the time, so I am not stunned it’s taken Hasbro this long to get to this particular outfit for Peter Parker. With Across the Spider-Verse finally hitting theaters this year, I think it would have been awkward to not release this new Miles Spider-Man to coincide.
